Hi!
My name is Barsha Khadka, a Travel & Tourism student. My hometown is in
Kathmandu,Nepal, and currently I live in Leuven, Belgium. I have a urge
to travel the world. I love going to different places and meeting new people
around the world. Learn to travel and travel to learn is what I truly believe
in but travelling wasn’t what I always wanted to do. My desire changed when I
arrived in Belgium on December 2011.
I’ve
always wanted to study law but when I came here I had to go to a language
learning class to learn Dutch. After one and a half year I went to one of the
Catholic school to get admission in the subject which is related to law but the
teacher told me that I wasn’t capable of studying it because of the lack of
language. The answer that I got there wasn’t what I wanted to hear. I thought
“everything happens for a reason” was just a phrase used by people to overcome
the sadness of losing something, but when it was applied to me, I was forced to
believe that it was true. After that I applied in K.A. Redingenhof, Leuven for
the subject tourism, not knowing what it really was. Back then I chose that
subject just to graduate from high school, but now I love it and I am happy
that I chose it. IF it wasn’t for the rejection of that teacher from that
Catholic school, I would’ve never known what I really wanted to do. The
decision that I made to study tourism unknowingly, helped me to realize my
desire, my dream to travel and to work in the sector of tourism. Besides travelling, I also love photography. It is my hobby.
I’ve
travelled to many places with tourism, who are my second family. The fact that
we travel more, has made us really close with each other and we are more like a
family then just a class. As a end-project me and some other fellow students
from my class have already organized a 2 day trip to Maastricht, Nederland for
groups of teenagers. I have travelled to most of the countries in Europe and my
next target is to travel to Asian countries.
I am an adventurous type of person. I love
going on an adventure. I would rather call myself a wander-luster. Interesting
thing about me is, I can speak five languages. I am fluent in Nepali, Hindi,
English and Dutch and I can speak a little bit of German too. I’ve always
wanted to learn French, and Spanish which is what I am going to do in my free
times.
The world is a book and I want to read the
whole book not just only one page.
